CDI Energy is proud to support the WA Government’s Solar Schools Program, which is helping to dramatically reduce power costs for 30 regional public schools across the State.
The McGowan Government’s Solar Schools Program was launched in December 2020 and is supplying 2.1 megawatts of rooftop solar panel systems to dozens of WA schools.
CDI Energy is supporting Mechanical Project Services (MPS) with end-to-end solutions for the projects, including the design and integration of the PV systems into the existing electrical systems.
“Our team has been busy this year installing solar panels to 20 plus schools from Esperance to Kununurra,” Mr Bower said.
Over the next few months, CDI Energy technicians will complete the installation of solar panels into the remaining few schools.
The Solar Schools Program is expected to deliver, on average, a 27 per cent saving on electricity costs for each school. The initiative is forecast to provide a total annual energy saving of around $1.7 million – reducing greenhouse gas emissions by more than 2,000 tonnes per year.
